Part A focuses on CVC blends with the vowels A and E.

The section begins by revising the alphabet, covering both small and capital letters. This is followed by practice exercises for CV blends, a concept introduced earlier in our series in the handbook ‘writing small letters’.

It is designed to familiarize them with a wide range of vocabulary through three-letter words. The exercises are repeated to ensure thorough learning.

Sight words lays the foundation for future reading skill enhancement. On the following page, children practice reading and writing sentences of words with ‘a’ sound. After mastering ‘a’ sound CVC words, the book introduces ‘e’ sound CV blends.
